NDO – The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) will return this summer with spectacular fireworks performances and a series of correlated events in the central city from April 30 to June 30.
Da Nang municipal People’s Committee has announced plans to organise the annual international fireworks festival aimed at welcoming visitors to the city during the summer of 2018.
This year’s theme is “The Legend of Bridges”, the DIFF 2018 will be hosted by Sun Group with performing consultancy from Global 2000 Company.
Under the approval plan, the venue for the fireworks display is in the Han River port area, and the main stage will be set up on the pavement of Tran Hung Dao street, opposite the fireworks area.
DIFF 2018 attracts eight participating teams with the following performances: April 30 Vietnam, Poland; May 26, France, the US; June 2 Italy, Hong Kong (China); June 9 Sweden, Portugal; and June 30. The first and 2nd prize finalists will be announced, with each team’s performance lasting approximately 20-22 minutes.
The first prize winner will receive US$10,000, the trophy and the certificate, while the second team receives US$5,000, a trophy and certificate.
In addition to the fireworks display, DIFF 2018 also features supporting activities, including a street festival, culinary spaces and artistic performances at the main stage of DIFF 2018.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of DIFF brand name, which has been developed into a world-class cultural and tourism event each year.
