PANO – The Thua Thien Hue provincial Tourism Association, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony on January 17th to honour local specialties at the provincial Center for Culture and Information.

Some specialties, such as Bun bo Hue (Hue spicy beef noodle soup), me xung (sesame candy), banh beo (bloating fern-shaped cake), and com hen (rice with mussel), were among dishes honoured.
All specialties were recognized as Vietnam’s famous specialties by the Vietnam Records Organization (Vietkings). Notably, Bun bo Hue is among the top 100 Asian culinary dishes according to the Asian Records Organization.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the provincial Tourism Association Dinh Manh Thang held that the event was to honour local specialties and to show locals’ pride.
