Gastronomic delights are to be offered at tourist sites and restaurants under Saigontourist Holding Co. for the National Day celebration (September 2, 1945-2015)
Dam Sen Cultural Park (3 Hoa Binh Street, District 11, HCMC, tel: 08 3963 2483):
There is a “Dam Sen Today” concert at the Roman Square from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on September 2. The program features music and comedy performances by popular artists like Randy, Hoang Chau, Thanh Duy, Vu Ha, Ho Viet Trung, Phan Ngoc Luan, Nhat Nguyet band, Bach Duong dance troupe and comedians Tran Thanh and Anh Duc.
After the concert, spectators can enjoy a 15-minute fireworks display at Zone A of the park.

On the occasion, Dam Sen will launch its new circus theater covering 1,100 square meters with a capacity of 1,000 guests at Zone B of the park. The theater will host a “Wild Africa” circus show featuring a thrilling adventure of a jungle boy who saves a princess. The park will also unveil three new animals — a zebra, a giraffe and a hippo, which cost a total of VND2 billion.
Young visitors are invited to join in a fashion festival where they can show off their styles and outfits from September 2 to 4.
Entrance tickets are priced at VND90,000 per person and children under one meter tall enjoy free admission. Package tickets cost VND180,000 for an adult and VND100,000 for a child.

At the Southern Land Reclamation cuisine program, 70 tasty dishes are available, such as grilled veal, grilled duck with chuc leaves and field crab salad. There are also southern amateur music shows performing songs about homeland, folk games with prizes, magic shows and a raffle.
The program takes place from September 2 to September 4 (Friday to Sunday), with lunch buffet lasting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner buffet from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost VND290,000 an adult and VND150,000 a child.
The a-la-carte menu serves fresh seafood and mallard cooked in three ways (grilled mallard with chuc leaves, steamed mallard with coconut water and mallard curry).
Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Village is like a peaceful village whose greenery and lake glitter with flower lanterns when night falls. Its entrance is decorated with lanterns and coconut trees along a rivulet. The place is also dotted with sampans, bamboo bridges, earthen water containers and straw stacks characterizing countryside scenes. It has many restaurants and cuisine programs with thousands of dishes.

The garden-like Van Thanh Tourist Park will organize a variety of folk music performances, folk games and food programs featuring over 50 specialties of the nation’s three regions. The park will guarantee an happy holiday time for you and your family members and friends.
The program lasts from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on September 2-4 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Tickets cost VND270,000 an adult and VND150,000 a child. Guests who buy 16 tickets will get one free.
About two kilometers from downtown HCMC, the eight-hectare Van Thanh Tourist Park serves fine food and provides facilities for conferences and seminars plus entertainment. Its restaurants can accommodate 5,000 diners at a time. The park has been chosen as a venue for big culinary and cultural events in HCMC.
Binh Quoi 2 Tourist Village (1147 Binh Quoi Street, Binh Thanh District, HCMC, tel: 08.3556 6020):
Guests can indulge themselves in a buffet in an open and green space by the Saigon River, offering over 60 dishes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from September 2-4. Especially, there are live Latin music and magic shows.
Adults and children will be charged VND290,000 and VND150,000 respectively. Those buying 11 tickets get one free.
