Duan triumphs at national cycling event third stage

HCM CITY (VNS) — Le Van Duan won the third stage of the national cycling tournament, Ben Tre Television Cup yesterday.

Duan of VUS-HCM City finished in a time of 3:9.40 during the 130km race from Rach Gia City in Kien Giang Province to Ca Mau City in Ca Mau Province.

Duan’s teammate Le Nguyet Minh and Do Tuan Anh of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap finished second and third, respectively.

Duan also won the green jersey as best sprinter with 69 points and the yellow jersey with the best overall time after three stages.

In the team rankings, Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap maintained their lead, followed by Loc Troi Group and VUS-HCM City 1.

Today, cyclists compete in the 180km fourth race from Ca Mau City to Can Tho City. — VNS
