(VOV) – The Hanoi People’s Committee on September 21 ceremoniously launched the newly formed Hanoi Department of Tourism and the appointment of Director Do Dinh Hong and Deputy Director Tran Duc Hai.
Formerly, tourist activities fell under the management of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Speaking at the event, Director Hong affirmed his commitment to make tourism not only the leading industry in the city but to make Hanoi the tourism capital of northern Vietnam.
The new department will be responsible for managing tourism activities of the city from its offices located at 17 Dien Bien Phu Road in the Ba Dinh District.
