Home furniture fair opens in Ho Chi Minh City

Nhan Dan Online – The 2014 Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories (VIFA) expo opened on March 11 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the organisers of VIFA 2014, the fair hosts 640 booths operated by 140 companies from nine countries and territories around the world.

VIFA is an opportunity for companies to introduce their latest offerings to consumers and to seek co-operative business opportunities.

In addition, domestic companies can gain access to advanced technologies used in the wood processing industry and explore new export markets.

On the sidelines of the fair, workshops are also scheduled for businesses and experts to discuss issues related to the wood processing and export industry.

VIFA 2014, which has been organised by the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade and the HCMC Handicraft and Wood Industry Association, runs until March 14.
