NDO – The Vietnam Maritime Administration has officially issued Decision No. 691/QĐ – CHHVN announcing the opening of the Tuan Chau international tourist habour for receiving passengers and cruise ships arriving in Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province.
Under the management of Au Lac Quang Ninh Co., Ltd, the international standard tourist port is located in the south-east south of Tuan Chau island tourism complex in Ha Long city, consisting of two piers, Pier 1 with a length of 1,443m and Pier 2 at 4.411m long. The harbor is capable of receiving vessels with a length to 70m.
The Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee issued Notice No. 181/TB-UBND, granting the right to operate Tuan Chau habour to Au Lac Co., Ltd and urging the company to implement fee exemptions to attract cruise ships to the port. Under the guidelines, Quang Ninh authorities decided to close Bai Chay tourist wharf.
