VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has requested his Cabinet to take measures to stabilize the macro-economy, especially controlling inflation and budget deficit.

PM Dung made the statement during the Government’s regular meeting in Ha Noi on April 1.


The Government leader stressed on lifting difficulties in production and trade, especially in agriculture which is decisive to national development, saying that there should be thorough consideration and calculation and prompt solutions to lift difficulties and support farmers.


He reminded ministries, agencies and localities about difficult and hard tasks of the year and urged them to actively follow up and understand the situation in order to have timely solutions to arising issues.


PM Dung asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to work with relevant agencies to seek measures to lift difficulties for the tourism sector.


The Ministry of Industry and Trade was required to expand markets to boost export while the Ministry of Finance was asked to suggest amendments on taxes in accordance with international agreements without reduction of the budget turnover.


The Government leader urged ministries and agencies to work closely with each other to build a technical standard system on imports and focus on disbursement of investment capital.


He asked Cabinet members to implement seriously law, ordinance and legal document construction to ensure both quantity and quality.


PM Dung also asked for further attention to improving living standards for national contributors and ethnic minority people.


The Ministry of Education and Training was assigned to prepare thoroughly for the 2015 national examination and the Ministry of Health was required to ease overload at hospitals and improve health care services’ quality.


PM Dung also asked for better equitization and stricter punishment to traffic safety violations.


At the meeting, the Cabinet reviewed socio-economic outcomes in the first quarter of the year, supplemented results to the 2014 implementation report on socio-economic development plan and analysed difficulties and challenges to the economy.
