Vietnam Airlines to increase flights to England

The national flag carrier planned to operate five flights per week on its routes to London, starting this March, the Saigon Times news website reported Thursday.


Vietnam Airlines currently has four flights to England’s capital city from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.


The change will take effect when the airline switches from Gatwick Airport to Heathrow Airport, which is some 45 miles away, the website reported.


Daily flights between Vietnam and England will start next year.


Vietnam Airlines first flied to London in December 2011.
