(Cinet) – Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has had Document No.2296/BVHTTDL-DSVH sending Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee to manage and protect World Natural Heritage-Ha Long bay.
At the 38th session of World Heritage Committee in Qatar on June 15-25 in Decision No.38 COM 7B.72, some participants gave some requirements to manage and protect world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay as follows:
The UNESCO praised an awareness of Vietnam about establishing a system of management. Also, it is required that Vietnam should implement some requirements of the group in the IUCN in 2013. Accordingly, the UNESCO increases more ability of management of the Management Board of Ha Long bay through allowing the Board to give power to manage and carry out a role and responsibility for heritage management.
The UNESCO encourages Vietnam to enhance more affords to ensure heritage protection for tourist and contributes to develop tourism in Ha Long bay.
