Passengers on international and domestic flights operated by Vietnam’s national carrier will be able to access Internet this May, VTC reported on Friday.
The high-speed Wi-Fi service will be offered on over 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A350s, before being introduced on a wide scale, Vietnam Airlines CEO Pham Ngoc Minh was quoted as saying.
It will cost US$15-20 on international flights, and may be offered for free on domestic ones, he said.
Passengers will not be allowed to make phone calls through applications like Viber and Zalo, but those who use iPhones will be able to use the app FaceTime, according to the CEO.
