NDO – The 2014 Asia-Europe New Music Festival officially concluded at Hanoi Opera House on October 12.


The concluding ceremony featured the participation of well-known artists including violist Bui Cong Duy, violist Stepan Yakovich of Russia, Nana Kinemura of Japan, singer Nhat Thuy, and conductor Honna Tetsuji.


The musicians performed seven works in various genres, reflecting feelings on the fatherland, the world, and humans.


Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam ComposersAssociation Do Hong Quan said that at this year’s festival, the domestic and international artists offered new musical achievements to audiences.


“For five days, from October 8 to 12, the 2014 Asia-Europe New Music Festival was a lively display of genres, sounds, friendship and talent of artists from Asia and Europe“, composer Quan said.


The five-day event, taking place in Hanoi and Ha Long city, attracted the participation of 200 musicians from 30 countries.


The festival offered music lovers in Vietnam a series of concerts in various genres, including symphony, , traditional, opera, ballet, chorus, and youth music.
