Many incentive polices haven’t been come to scientific and technological enterprises

It was the general statement of many participant businesses at the workshop on “The incentive and support policies for science and technology enterprises (Science and Technology)”, was hold by Ho Chi Minh Department of Science and Technology on March 14.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hiep, director of Southern Seed Company said that policies of tax exemption and the government’s land leasing are extremely practical for the enterprise. However, implementation of this preference among relevant ministries and agencies has disagreement. Therefore, Southern Seed Company had been certified as a science and technology firm since July, 2013, so far it still hasn’t been exempted from tax under the provisions.

Mr. Duong Minh Tam, Deputy Chief Management of Ho Chi Minh High-tech Park confirmed the enterprises didn’t sell products, the tax incentive polices or surface rent is not meaningful. Many domestic products have been studied very well but they are slowly put into the business because permit time is too long. If there is no special policy for scientific and technological enterprises as technological ordering mechanisms, facilitating the development of product output, the reform of administrative procedures, and etc. The results of research are difficult to come to the consumers.

At the workshop, Mr. Tran Van Tung, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology affirmed that putting science and technology into enterprises is an essential trend in order to develop the country. The policy of the government to 2015 the whole country will have about 3,000 science and technology companies. The businesses must develop most fields from agriculture, industry and services and so on.

Currently, Ministry of Science and Technology has issued many preferential policies for this subject but there are still many practical problems. The next year, the technology order trend will be developed, there is no study situation on the large scale and produced products will be applied into people’s life and production.
