Lao Cai border gate receives 3,000 visitors

Nhan Dan Online – The Lao Cai International Border Gate received over 3,000 visitors from China during the first two days of the lunar new year; a promising start for tourism in the northern border province of Lao Cai.

According to Doan Dinh Khoi, head of the managing board of Lao Cai province’s border gates, the Lao Cai International Border Gate dealt with 1,500 visitors on the first day. Most of the tourists were on their way to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province.

The managing board also coordinates with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Lao Cai Railway Station to facilitate visitors travel by train on the Lao Cai-Hanoi route.
