Child saved after swarmed by wasps

DA NANG (VNS)— Doctors from the city’s Paediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital saved a child who sustained hundreds of wasp stings, according to the hospital’s deputy director Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan yesterday.

The victim, To Van Hoang Sang, 8, from Tu Nghia District in the central province of Quang Ngai, was brought to the hospital last Thursday in a critical condition, with his body entering a state of oedema and experiencing liver failure.

The boy recovered after 48-hours of blood filtration and treatment received at Quang Ngai hospital.

He was reportedly attacked by a swarm of wasps while playing at a friend’s house. — VNS
