More tourists visit central city of Da Nang

PANO – As announced by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, the total number of tourists to Da Nang is estimated to reach 4,039,572 so far, an increase of 124.1% over the same period last year (meeting 91.2% of the set plan).

Foreign tourists to Da Nang

Particularly, the number of international visitors is estimated to climb to 977,033, up by 131.2% compared to the same period in 2014, while that of domestic tourists is estimated to reach 3,062,539, up by 122.1% compared to 2014. The revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 11 trillion, up by 130.7% against 2014.

At present, the department is implementing instructions of the municipal People’s Committee, which regulate waterways tourism, and completing tourism development plans, mechanisms and policies to attract tourists and support the development of shopping tourism, cuisine, and entertainment, meeting international standards.
