Construction of the complex, expected to cost VND205 billion (US$9 million), is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2018 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.
The Hue Spirit Sanctuary complex, which will comprise villas, an international convention centre and entertainment area, strives to serve the high-end tourist segment.
Thua Thien-Hue had welcomed over 3.1 million travellers, including 1.2 foreigners, over the past 10 months of this year, up 12.6% year-on-year, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
During the reviewed period, the province’s tourism revenue experienced a yearly rise of 10%, to more than VND2.8 trillion (US$123.4 million), the department said.
