Chefs of French cuisine, such as two-star Michelin Chef Alain Dutournier, will have a good opportunity to show off their skills and share experience with peers, thus celebrating France’s gastronomy.
Notably, during this year’s Gout de France – the third of its kind so far, high school and university students will also take part in the preparation of a French-style meal, the diplomat said.

Emmanuel Ly-Batallan added that in HCM City, the Hoa Sen University and the University of Technology, which offers cookery courses, will respectively coordinate with France’s Vatel university and Cergy Pontoise University to help high school students coming to learn about the programme and experience of alumni who used to pursue cuisine and hotel-related courses in France.
Set in motion in 2015, when French cuisine was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Gout de France is an opportunity for chefs and restaurateurs to showcase recipes inspired by French expertise.
The Gout de France is organised in about 150 countries around the world with a view to honouring the creativity and quality of France’s gastronomy, which is considered a pillar of the country’s heritage.
