(TITC) – In order to enhance tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and China and also further tighten the relationship between the two countries, from 10 to 17 September 2016, the delegation of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) attends the training program on tourism development cooperation in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China.
VNAT’s delegation led by Ms. Pham Le Thao – Deputy Director of Travel Department will participate in exchange and training activities on tourism development cooperation, including seminars of “Viet Nam – China tourism cooperation”, “Human resource management in tourism enterprises”, “Overview of Yunnan tourism”, “Multinational tourism cooperation – Rule and policy”, and so on; exchange program between tourism enterprise managers and officers of Viet Nam and China; survey trip in some tourist sites in Kunming City, etc.
As the South-western province of China, Yunnan borders Lao Cai and Ha Giang provinces of Viet Nam. Therefore, Yunnan Province is considered as the link of economic corridor between Viet Nam and China.
In many years, China is always the leading market sending visitors to Viet Nam. In 2015, Viet Nam welcomed 1.78 million Chinese visitor arrivals. By the end of August 2016, international visitors to Viet Nam reached about 6.45 million arrivals, of which includes 1.75 million Chinese ones.
