Amazing beauty of Xuan Dai Bay

VietNamNet Bridge – Located at the foot of Gang Mount, Xuan Dai Bay is a famous tourist site of the central Province of Phu Yen.

The Bay is surrounded by Co Ngua mountain, which stretches into the sea by about 15km. The bay covers nearly 13,000ha of water surface. The mouth of the bay is about 4,4km wide and the depth is from 7m to 18m. There are many small islands in the bay.

The gulf coast is about 50km long, running through different terrains with interesting names such as: Ganh Den (Lamp rock), Da Ong Cape (Laterite), Ganh Den (Black Rock), Ganh Do (Red Rock), etc…

The attraction of Xuan Dai Bay is the white, smooth sand, and soft waves.

The bow-shaped Bai Dai (Dai beach) is over 5 km long, covered by pine forests.

Standing on Gang Hill, visitors can see the poetic bay views.

At the bay mouth is Ghanh Den, a red-white light house.

Tourists can discover the life of local people at fishing villages in the bay.

Xuan Dai Bay is also a historic site, which was related to Emperor Nguyen Hue and the Nguyen Dynasty.

Under the reign of King Minh Mang, Xuan Dai Bay was where the first diplomatic activities between Vietnam and the US took place. In April 1945, Japanese naval vessels were shot to down by Allied planes. Many historical artifacts such as cannons were discovered in Xuan Dai.

In 2011, the bay was recognized as a national scenic spot and nominated as a member of the club of the world’s most beautiful bays.
