The Hotel Metropole Hanoi, built in 1901 in French architectural style, is one of the oldest landmarks of the city. President Holland will stay in the Grand Prestige Suite, which previously has welcomed numerous distinguished heads of state including (in 1997) President Jacques Chirac.
