Vietnam’s north- south sky highway put into exploitation

A major north-south sky highway of Vietnam was officially put into exploitation at 7am today, announced the Vietnam Air Traffic Management (VATM).

The system was built in line with regional navigation 5 (RNAV5) and standard of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), suitable for modern aircrafts with long distance flights.

The north-south sky highway will shorten distance and time between flights, reduce the consumption of fuel and exhaust gas in the environment.

According to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management, the Vietnam’s north-south air route is ranked one of air routes operating eventfully in the world with nearly 700 flights a day.
