Toyota promotes Vietnam traffic safety

The program aims to promote educational activities, raise awareness on execution of traffic safety regulations, enhance the quality and effectiveness of the state organizations of traffic safety management, contribute to reducing traffic accident, and build up safety traffic culture in Vietnam.

The program started with the Traffic Safety Awareness Enhancement Campaign for traffic users in order to encourage changing behavior of Vietnamese drivers when driving like “No use of mobile phone, No alcohol and Fasten seatbelt while driving” to ensure safety for themselves and other people.

The program has cooperated with VOV radio station to broadcast three voice messages on three contents “No use of mobile phone, No alcohol and Fasten seatbelt while driving” on VOV-Transportation Channel (91 MHz) from 8:00 to 8:30 and from 18:00 to 18:30 every day (in the first quarter of 2016), in Hanoi and HCMC towards directly car drivers.

In order to propagate the above messages to more people in the community, many posters of the program have been displayed at TMV’s headquarters, branch offices, dealerships, suppliers, Provincial Traffic Safety Committees offices, VR stations, toll stations, driving training centers of MOT in the nation’s 63 cities and provinces, and LCD screens in big buildings in Hanoi and HCMC.

The company and NTSC in cooperation with Otofun forum (www.otofun.net), one of the biggest auto forums with nearly 300,000 members, launched the Video Clip Contest “No text while driving” and “Fasten seatbelt while driving”; and Sticker Design Contest focusing on the content “No text while driving”.

The content for video clip and stickers should focus on promoting good behaviors and activities for safe driving for both drivers and people sitting in cars. The total prize amount is up to VND 50 million, including two prizes for the best video clip of each topic and one prize for the best sticker.
