Tay Nguyen folk art festival to be held

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports will work with the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) province of Kon Tum to host the Tay Nguyen folk art festival from March 18-23.

The event will include Tay Nguyen folk music and dance performances, gong showcases, traditional cuisine festival, and exhibitions on the region’s heritage, culture, history and development. Activities to promote the region’s tourism will also be held during the festival.

Ha Noi offers free measles, rubella vaccine

The Ha Noi’s Health Department is launching a programme to provide free immunisation vaccine against measles and rubella for people aged 16-17 during March and April.

The programme targets offering the vaccine to more than 130,000 students at 246 high schools. Non-students can visit district and commune clinics to receive the vaccine.

HCM City gifts books to poor students

HCM City’s Education and Training, and Information and Communication Departments have cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth and their partners to gift 36,000 to poor students and workers in outlying districts from August.

The organisations have provided 24,000 textbooks, reference books and literacy books for students, and 12,000 books in literature, history and culture to workers at industrial parks and export processing zones.

They also donated libraries for primary, secondary and high schools in the districts of Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Binh Chanh, Nha Be and Can Gio.
