Some activities to welcome New Year in Hanoi and HCM City

(Cinet)- Many activities to celebrate New Year 2016 will take place in Hanoi and HCM City.

Vietnamese singers and artists as well as international DJs will gather in Hanoi for stellar performances from December 31 to January 1 to welcome the New Year 2016, according to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.

The performances, which are being organised to praise the Party, country and capital, will be arranged meticulously with impressing stages as well as brilliant sound and light systems.

The New Year countdown festival, held annually at Ly Thai To Flower Garden, will bring a kaleidoscopic night to the audiences. The show will feature music and contemporary dance performances.

The August Revolution Square will be lightened up on the same day with vibrant light and music performances given by Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre and relevant organisations.This year, 15 minute-long firework displays will take place at the side of the Saigon Tunnel in District 2 and the Dam Sen Amusement Park in District 11. Another art performance featuring songs welcoming the 12 th National Party Congress is also scheduled at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square on the New Year Eve.
