Fireworks to illuminate Hanoi for Tet

PANO – The capital city of Hanoi will display fireworks for 15 minutes at 30 locations for the 2016 Year of the Monkey at midnight of February 8th.

Director of the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism To Van Dong said funds for the fireworks will come from the public.

Locals and tourists can enjoy high altitude fireworks at 6 locations, including Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Nguyen Hoang Ton flower garden (Tay Ho district), Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong district), My Dinh National Statium (Nam Tu Liem district) and Son Tay ancient town (Son Tay town). There will also be other low altitude fireworks.
