Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee has urged sectors and localities to implement the Telegraph No. 1964/UBND-VX dated 27 April 2015 on strengthening dengue fever prevention and control.
Accordingly, the districts and city People’s Committees were asked to direct local authorities, agencies and people to decimate mosquitoes at construction projects, densely population areas, poor sanitary condition areas as well as guide health departments to closely follow the situations, treat patients promptly and cope with the outbreaks.
The Department of Information and Communications, Quang Ngai Television and other press agencies coordinate with the Department of Health to provide information about preventing and controlling dengue fever, the disease situations and measures to treat with the disease.
Localities and relevant agencies need to raise public awareness about dengue fever, as well as about prevention measures, which include quickly detecting infected or suspected cases in both health facilities and the community, and launching environmental sanitation campaigns by spraying mosquito repellents to kill mosquitoes.
