VietNamNet Bridge – Entering Jun village situated on the shores of Lak Lake, Buon Ma Thuot City, you will see many foreign tourists staying with local people, paddling boats or riding elephants across the river.
John, an American who stayed in the village for two days, said: “The scene here is very peaceful. I’ve turned off all electronic devices. The pictures are the only things I keep by my side. Definitely I will come back here with some friends of mine.”
Tourists can stroll around the village and can sit at a small tea shop on the lakeside.
Lak Lake is a the largest natural freshwater lake in Dak Lak province and the second largest in Vietnam, after Ba Be Lake. Around the lake are mountains and primeval forests. The villagers often paddle boats from this shore to the other to exchange goods or serve tourists.
In the early morning, you can enjoy the sunrise, watch women paddling in the soft light. In the afternoon you can go fishing, ride an elephant or chat with ethnic minority people.
