(Cinet)- On July 25-26, at the Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism took place many activities to celebrate 68 years for War Invalids, Martyrs’ Day (on July 27).

The program is co-organized by the Management Board of Village of Ethnic Culture and Tourism and Lang Son Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as relevant agencies to memorize some heroes, Invalids and Martyrs. From that, the event aims to encourage young generations, tourist and community of ethnic groups more love and pride of the nation.

Exchange program of some heroic generations

The exchange program ” Sang mai ten anh” attract Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vuong Thi Ly and some heroes such La Van Cau, Phung Van Khau and Le Ma Luong.

At the meeting, some audience listened some stories of a heroes La Van Cau (he lost his right arm); and the story about his coat and how it became the object that has been kept in the VNMH.

A hero Le Ma Luong shared some past years in the war. He said that the good time is some years that is against the enemy. He expressed his thanks to some previous generations.

Reflecting some special festivals

A number of activities have been held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethic Culture and Tourism in honor of the sacrifices of heroes, war invalids, martyrs, particularly those of ethnic groups.

The event is part of activities aiming to preserve and uphold traditional values of the national diverse culture, as well as introduce unique ethnic culture in Viet Nam.

Some festivals of Tay, Nung people in Lang Son are reflected at the Village to introduce visitors some cultural values of Long Ton festival of Nung people and Then festival of Tay ethnic group.

Long Tong festival of Nung people is an opportunity to honour values of the national culture with traditional games in combination with modern games. Long Tong includes two parts: rituals and festival. The festive drum performance was given in a boisterous brouhaha, signalling the beginning of the festival. Then, an item of a festive drum performed by the Central Classical Drama Troupe and the throwing of con (cloth ball) competition of the locals took place. The festive part, following the ritual part, includes traditional folk games, such as five-coloured cloth ball throw, tug-of-war, walking-on-stilts, spin the top, lion dance, martial art performance, blind man’s buff, and shooting with a crossbow. The cloth ball throw is considered the most attractive and draws most participants.

“Then”, a cultural heritage into the Tay and Nung community. The “then” is one of some main festivals to develop spiritual life of the community.
