Preserving and promoting the culture of ethnic groups under 1,000 population Related image(s)

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved a plan on making a project on the preservation and promotion of the culture of ethnic minority groups whose population is under 1,000, including Si La, Pu Peo, Ro Mam, B’rau and O Du.

The plan aims to implement policies on culture, especially Decision No1270/QĐ-TTg dated July 27th 2011 of the Prime Minister on approving the project on the preservation and promotion of the culture of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups until 2020.

Accordingly, the Department of Ethnic Culture will coordinated with relevant agencies and Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces that have groups with a population of under 1,000, including Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Nghe An and Kon Tum.

The project will review the real state of socio-economic life and culture of these minority groups with the report submitted to leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the third quarter of 2015./.
