Malaysia will host Round 2 of Formula 1 World Championship this season from March 28 to 30, and F1 ticket holders will “receive additional discounts in unrivalled shopping experience of prestigious brands available in shopping centers in Kuala Lumpur,” Sepang International Circuit (SIC) Chief Executive Officer Dato‘ Razlan Razali told a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City last week.

As Malaysia is also hosting the Visit Malaysia Year 2014, tourists with the F1 tickets will also get to enjoy many celebrations and programs line up by Tourism Malaysia, he added.

Razlan asserted that the Formula 1 in Malaysia is affordable for Vietnamese fans.

Tickets for the world class event are as low as VND533,400, while Main Grandstand tickets, which provide excellent viewing at vantage points are priced between VND4.46 million and VND11.8 million.

Last year the F1 race in Sepang recorded an attendance of 856 fans from Vietnam, and SIC was targeting 2 percent growth for the 2014 event.

And with the VMY 2014 programs, fans would be getting a double treat by coming to Sepang International Circuit for the race, Razlan said.

The VMY 2014 features endless wonders of events, festivals and activities all-year round, making it the perfect time to see, feel and experience Malaysia.

Before the F1 cars take the race to the track, there will be support races by the Porsche Asia Cup and the Malaysian Super Series where tourists will be able to see luxury high performance cars such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and others that will be competing against each other.

And immediately after the race, DJ Calvin Harris, the Electronic Cash King as rated by Forbes in 2013, will be performing exclusively in South East Asia for the F1 event.

The prestigious SapuraKencana Petroleum Malaysia Grand Prix Gala Dinner and Concert would be held in Kuala Lumpur on March 27, offering ticket holders a chance to enjoy the Gala Dinner Concert with great acts to be announced.

Besides F1 race, Malaysia will also play host to two international conferences starting with the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (from March 25 to 28) which will be held for the first time in Asia , followed by the World Airport Cities Conference from March 31 to April 2.
