(VOV) – Vietnam has been selected to officially represent the Francophone community in a wide range of cultural activities and exchanges to be held throughout the world during the upcoming year.


The selection was made at an on-going week-long Francophone Festival, which kicked off on March 20 in Mozambique that was attended by thousands.

Speaking at the opening, Vietnam Ambassador to Mozambique Nguyen Van Trung highlighted the community’s contributions to word, citing its exemplary record ineffectively dealing with global challenges such as epidemics, natural disasters and environmental issues.


During the week, a photo exhibition on Vietnam’s land and people by three photographers Nguyen Viet Thanh, Hoang Hai Thinh and Le Ngoc Bich was held by the Vietnam Embassy.
