White Plum flowers bloom in bunches.
NDO – Travelling to Moc Chau district in the northern mountainous province of Son La on the days approaching Tet (traditional lunar New Year) holiday, visitors are attracted by valleys sparkling with the white colour of plum flowers.
Plum trees are grown everywhere in the district, including in the gardens and front yards of every household. Plum flowers surround the roofs of houses, creating a romantic and poetic backdrop. White flowers boast their pure beauty.
Alternate plum flowers and fresh tea hills in the vaporous fog make Moc Chau plateau as beautiful as a watercolour painting.
Hundreds of hectare valleys are full of plum trees. Plum flowers blossom profusely on the days before and after Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday and plum fruits are ready to be harvested in May.
In addition to tea, plums are a speciality of Moc Chau Plateau, amazing and luring tourists.
