Jetstar Pacific opens five local routes

Vietnamese low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific is planning to open more five new domestic routes in February and the month ahead.

As scheduled, the carrier opened Thanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot route starting on February 3 with two flights per week on Tuesday and Thursday.


Flight from Buon Ma Thuot to Hai Phong has been operational on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday since February 2.


It opened a new domestic route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Hoi in Quang Binh province; and daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon in Binh Dinh Province on February 1-2. 15,000 passengers have purchased tickets for flights.


The Ho Chi Minh City-Dong Hoi route will operate three flights per week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.


The first flight departed from Ho Chi Minh City at 1:30pm and landed at Dong Hoi at 2pm. After landing at Dong Hoi airport, leaders of Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee presented flowers to the first passengers.


In addition, flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Tuy Hoa in Phu Yen Province are scheduled to open on March 30. The flight will be available on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.


The new routes aim to meet the growing demand and improve trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities throughout the country.


The budget carrier has operated local domestic flights connecting Vietnam’s main airports in HCMC, Hanoi, Danang, Vinh, Haiphong, Hue, Buon Ma Thuot, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc Island, and international routes from HCMC to Singapore and Thailand.
