The fire engines include three specialized robotic trucks with automatic control and demolition functions, a tunnel fire engine, and a crane specializing in tunnel rescue.

The French firm from which the engines were shipped also organized training sessions on the use of these vehicles for nearly 100 police officers of the municipal Fire Prevention and Control Police Department.

Colonel Le Tan Buu, director of the department, said the trucks are expected to improve the professionalism of police officers as well as minimize the damage caused by huge fires, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

After the ceremony, the advanced fire engines will be given to the Fire Prevention and Control Police Offices of several areas including District 1, District 2, District 4, District 9, Tan Phu District, Go Vap District, Binh Tan District, Nha Be District, and Binh Chanh District.
