Rok investors choose Vietnam as best destination

The Korean International Trade Association on January 29 said that most South Korean companies have chosen Vietnam as the best destination in emerging markets abroad.

In a recent survey by the association, 49 percent out of 537 Korean businesses said they have planned to develop their business operation in Vietnam this year.

37.4 percent of them chose Indonesia and 30 percent selected Thailand. Malaysia and Turkey are at the next positions in the list with 28.5 percent and 20.7 percent Korean companies planning to broaden investment.

These countries are named as the group of 32 nations which economic growth rate topped 3 percent for the last three years with GDP per capital of at least US$1,500 and population over 15 million people.
