HCM City launches “Telephone-Information-Wifi” station

The first “Telephone-Information-Wifi” stations providing information and Wi-Fi access to local people and visitors were set up in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 on January 28.

The HCM City Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) and Le Digital Media Group as investors said this is the first pilot phase and it is expected to be launched more 200 stations by the end of 2016.

The new service is equiped with 47-inch LCD multi-touch screen offering information on travel, transportation, GPS/Maps; hotels, restaurants, shoping malls and more.
