The program on experiencing intangible cultural heritages will take place in Hanoi from March 7th to May 19th, 2015. On January 27th, the Hanoi city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the program on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2015. Participating in the program, students who are living and studying in Hanoi will have an opportunity to discover the historical and cultural values of Thang Long – Hanoi through making field trips to festivals, traditional villages and cultural activities in the Spring. The program is a continuous activity to connect the contest on discovering world heritages in Hanoi, the City for Peace, held in 2014 by the Hanoi city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Musician Thao Giang, Director of the Vietnam Center for Music Arts Development, said that the field trips would contribute to improving awareness and responsibility in the community and in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritages in Hanoi and in Vietnam, particularly amongst the younger generation./. |
