Conference on Ninh Binh tourism promotion

(TITC) – In the framework of the Handover ceremony of UNESCO world cultural and natural heritage certificate for Trang An landscapes complex, Ninh Binh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism held a conference on Ninh Binh tourism promotion.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hoang Thanh Phong said Ninh Binh Province has a long traditional history; beautiful landscapes; and unique religious architectures, of which, Trang An landscape complex is a pride of Ninh Binh and the whole nation.

In the recent years, Ninh Binh tourism has been developing rapidly and becoming one of key economic sectors of the province contributing to create jobs, expand partnerships and attract more int’l tourists to the area. In 2014, Ninh Binh welcomed 4.3 million arrivals with total revenue of VND 942 billion, up 5.1% over 2013.

Valueing Ninh Binh tourism potential, representatives of travel businesses suggested the province should improve high quality accommodation facilities, convenient transportation, human resource training, destinations linking, clean and safe environment … aiming to maximize traditional and historical value of the destinations.
