Quang Nam province makes profile for Mukhalinga Related image(s)
| Mukhalinga discovered in 2012. (Source: cinet.gov.vn) The central province of Quang Nam has made a scientific profile on Mukhalinga, a statue of the Hindu god Shiva, to submit the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for national treasure. The yellow brown stone statue was discovered near the E4 tower of the My Son Sanctuary after a heavy downpour in 2012. It dates back to between the 7th and 8th centuries, is 146.5cm tall and 41.5cm wide. It has three parts shaped like a circle, an octagon and a square.
