Twelve fire paintings on display feature elegant blazing flames with oil painting technique. “Everyone may have felt a strange feeling at least once in front of the fire with this great and intense energy. My work also started like this,” said young painter Jung.

Its warmth, energy and changeability makes me feel like I am being sucked into fire and makes me lost in wild fancies,” he said.

I want to express the pure fire which can shake the feelings of people who look at it as well as me.”

According to the painter Doan Thi Thu Huong, deputy director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, though this is not a new type of expression, Jung’s paintings leave a strong impression with his creativity shown variously in each of his works.

The blazing flames in scarlet on a black background show the vitality and passion for art of the painter,” she said.

As a young painter, Jung Il Jin had individual exhibitions at home and abroad.

The Korean Cultural Centre aims to introduce Korean various art forms to Vietnamese audiences through such exhibitions.

The exhibition will last until October 6.
