Van Phuc village has been famous for silk weaving since the Ly Dynasty, their products having been used by the royal family and exported to foreign lands.


About 270 households in the village have preserved the silk weaving tradition. In the first sixth month of 2014, about 770,000 meters of silk were produced, obtaining a turnover of VND30.8 billion. There are 150 silk shops, with 100 shops in “Silk street”.


The Week is being held by the Vietnam Association of Craft Villages and Van Phuc precinct People’s Committee. It offers an opportunity to promote village’s traditional craft and their products, as well as boost trade and investment. /.
