(CPV) - A meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the capital liberation will take place at 8:30 am on October 10 at the Hanoi-based National Convention Center, drawing the participation of about 3,500 people.

The meeting will be broadcast on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television.


The information was released in a project of Hanoi city People’s Committee on the organization of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the capital liberation to submit the Prime Minister for approval.

Accordingly, diverse activities will be held, including meeting representatives of policy families, visiting and presenting gifts to policy families, meeting soldiers and young volunteers who directly participated in the struggle against French colonial, paying homage to President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, Bac Son war martyrs’ monument and Mai Dich national cemetery, offering flowers at a statute at Hang Dau street.


In addition, an exhibition, a book fair and a workshop on the 60th anniversary of the capital liberation, a traditional handicraft village tourism festival will take place on this occasion.


Fireworks will be displayed in the evening of the same day./.
