U19 women’s football team defeat Uzbek rivals in friendly

Hosts women's U19 team (white jersey) beat Uzbekistan 1-0 in a friendly match in Ha Noi yesterday.

HA NOI (VNS) – Viet Nam’s Under 19 women’s team defeated Uzbekistan one-nil in their second friendly match at the Ha Noi-based Youth Football Training Centre yesterday.

In the first match, Viet Nam tied with the visitors nil all. The 26-player Uzbekistan team will train in Ha Noi today to prepare for the qualifiers for the AFC U19 Women’s Championship.

The AFC event will attract 14 teams from two zones, East and West. Uzbekistan are in West zone’s Group A, while Viet Nam belong to East zone’s Group C. – VNS
