Lao Dong newspaper awarded with Independence Order (Source: VNA)
Nhan Dan Online – Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper held a ceremony on August 14 to celebrate its 85th anniversary of first publication and to receive an Independence Order, first class.

Speaking at the event, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), Dang Ngoc Tung congratulated the newspaper on the accolade, praising the newspaper as a prestigious publication of Vietnam’s revolutionary press.
Lao Dong has become an important forum of the VGCL, the voice of the working class and the VGCL in the fight against corruption and bureaucracy, and the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
He highly valued journalists and editors of the newspaper for reflecting the aspirations of workers at industrial parks and processing zones; thus making proposals for the Party and State to remove difficulties for them.
The newspaper was also highly appreciated for its contributions to social activities, in which its charity social fund has become a trustworthy way for benefactors at home and abroad to support needy people.
