HA NOI (VNS) – The Yamaha Football Camp has successfully finished its five-week training course in Ha Noi.
Some 150 attendees, aged from six to 10 years, have completed the camp, where they learned basic football techniques and skills, self-confidence and sportsmanship.
Speaking at the Gala Night on Saturday, the Viet Nam Football Federation General Secretary Le Hoai Anh said the lessons that the programme teaches were basic but important for the attendees.
“During five weeks, they have learnt a lot and absorbed it as their own knowledge of football, which would definitely help them in the future if they train more to be a footballer,” Anh said.
The second camp, which is an extended event in the third season of the programme, will continue today in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, which is another national football hub, with 125 children participating until July 26.
“I hope that the coming event in Nghe An will be also successful. And in the future, Yamaha will continue hosting such meaningful camps in the upcoming years, helping Viet Nam nurture talented generations for the national teams,” Anh added.
The camps are one of activities of For the Future of Viet Nam Football programme, which has been hosted by Yamaha Viet Nam since 2007. – VNS
