In the evening of July 12th, in Tuy Hoa city, the Central Institute of Hematology-Blood Transfusion, Phu Yen Provincial Steering Committee of mobilizing voluntary blood donation, the TV Channel of Let’s Viet and the Empathy Joint Stock Company of Vietnamese arms coorganized the abovementioned event.
Commencing the program, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghiem, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross, said, “Giving blood to save human-lives is a noble gesture, a precious tradition crystallized from thousands of years of Vietnamese people. The Red Journey is the campaign for voluntary blood donation throughout Vietnam, which has been annually held since 2013. The Program aims to propagate and raise the awareness for the strata to understand the significance of blood donation to save lives; congenital genetic diseases, especially congenital anemia. It is also a practical activity to respond to the campaign The pink blood drops in summer launched by the National Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation campaign in order to overcome blood shortage which may occur in the summer of this year.
