Festival plan for 2014-2015 approved Related image(s)







(CPV) – In Decision 1063/QĐ-TTg dated July 2, the Prime Minister has approved a plan on organizing festivals in 2014 and 2015.

The State-level festivals that will be celebrated include: the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2014 ); the 40th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2015); the 100th anniversary of late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh’s birth (July 1, 1915 – July 1, 2015 ); the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2015) and the National Independence Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2015).

The decision assigns that task of organizing various festivals to different agencies. Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina (July 20, 1954 – July 20, 2014); the Ministry of National Defence will organize the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2014) and the 25th anniversary of the National Defence Day (December 22, 1989 – December 22, 2014); and the Ministry of Public Security will organize the 70th founding anniversary of People’s Public Security (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2015).


Meanwhile, the Hanoi People’s Committee will preside over the 60th anniversary of capital liberation day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2014) and the 85th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2015)./.
