(Cinet) – According to Decision No.1825/QĐ-BVHTTDL, two steles affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago, have been recognized as national historical sites.



Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed the MOCST recognize two steles as importance historical and legal evidence showing Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa Archipelago.


According to Truong Dang Tuyen, director of the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province is expected to plan a ceremony to receive a certificate recognising the steles.


Additionally, the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will propose plans to preserve the steles in the future.


In 2011, the provincial People’s Committee recognised the two steles as provincial historical sites.
