A flight of budget carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines from the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak to Ho Chi Minh City has been delayed for over 7 hours due to “technical problems”.
The flight, previously planned to leaved Buon Ma Thuot Airport for Tan Son Nhat Airport at the southern economic at 11:50 am, was rescheduled to depart at 7:10 pm, as the plane encountered technical problems, according to Jetstar.
One problem was that the Jetstar’s official announcement for the delay came just some tens of minutes before the time the flight was scheduled to leave the Central Highlands airport, said passengers.
Another one was that the passengers, hanging around at the airport and waiting for the flight, received no supports from Jetstar’s staff for hours.
Jetstar Pacific Airline’s representatives in Buon Ma Thuot City, said the aircraft had landed at the airport in Buon Ma Thuot, the firm has to delay the flight to fix some technical problems for the safety of the passengers.
The delay last so long as the carrier had to dispatch a team from HCMC to Buon Ma Thuot Airport for the fixing job, and the team only arrived at the airport at 5pm.
On May 14, 2014, a flight of Jetstar Pacific Airline from Hanoi to the central city of Da Nang was postponed for over 8 hours, also due to technical problems. The carrier then said a part needed to be replaced had to be flown from HCMC, causing the delay.
